Όταν κάποιο όνομα χώρου κατοχυρώνεται, καταγράφεται σ’ έναν μεγάλο κατάλογο ονομάτων (domain name register).[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Ανανέωση domain name”][vc_column_text]Η κατοχύρωση του domain name δεν ισχύει εφ’ όρου ζωής, αλλά θα πρέπει να ανανεώνεται σε συγκεκριμένα χρονικά διαστήματα, προκειμένου να έχετε τα δικαιώματά του.

Σύμφωνα με την Απόφαση της Εθνικής Επιτροπής Τηλεπικοινωνιών και Ταχυδρομείων (E.E.T.T.) σχετικά με την Διαχείριση των Ονομάτων Internet του Domain [.GR] κάθε εκχώρηση υπόκειται σε καταβολή κάποιου τέλους ανανέωσης.

Η ανανέωση domain γίνεται αυτόματα, για δύο (2) χρόνια, με την απλή καταβολή του αντίστοιχου τέλους.

Αντίστοιχα, τα domain names με κατάληξη  .com πρέπει να ανανεώνονται ετησίως, με το αντίστοιχο κόστος.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Δεν ανανέωσα το domain name μου”][vc_column_text]Σε περίπτωση που το domain name δεν ανανεωθεί εγκαίρως, τότε αυτόματα περιέρχεται για διάστημα 15 ημερών σε κατάσταση καραντίνας. Κατά το χρονικό αυτό διάστημα το domain μπορεί να επανακαταχωρηθεί μόνο από τον προηγούμενο ιδιοκτήτη του.
